DescriptionThe knight facing another man who is on a horse in the foreground, an overturned horse laying down on its back and another figure in the mid-ground, mountains and piles of rock in the further back of the image. First half 16th century "Teuredank," ascribed to Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I (1459-1519), is the allegory of Maximillian's wooing of Duchess Mary of Burgundy (1487-1482).
