DescriptionInspired by a 1791 cartoon for a tapestry titled 'The Straw Manikin.' Based on the 'pelele', a Spanish carnival entertainment in which a 'dummy' male doll / mannequin is tossed by a group of women to symbolically represent their domination of men.
