DescriptionPicturesque landscape of the Italian countryside, with trees in foreground, the Renaissance structures of a small village in the center, and a body of water and hillsides beyond with large, rolling clouds in the sky. Action animates the foreground: Two men try to kill a snake on the ground between them with rocks and sticks. A women and a dog flee the scene. Just behind them, two figures walk closely together, watching all unfold from a safe distance.
