DescriptionOn the left, recruits congregate, enlisting with an officer seated on a drum. In the center, troops armed with arquebus practice marching drills. Behind them are the crenelated walls of a town and the tents of the military camp. On the far right, an officer seated at a table underneath a tree issues pay to the soldiers.
