DescriptionHand modeled figurine; seated female dressed in traditional Navajo costume of long-sleeved blouse and wide skirt with wrapped legs and boots; she is wearing turquoise earrings and squash blossom necklace, has black hair with bun, black eyes and brows and open red mouth; five boys surround her: one holding a small drum, one with a cowboy hat and on a stick pony, one wearing a cowboy hat and seated on her skirt, one reclining on her shoulder, and one reclining on lower part of her skirt. Three other children are females, one holding a doll, one reading a book, and one holding a basket, plus an additional child that is an infant in a cradleboard. All children have are wearing typical traditional clothing. Colors used are red-orange, cream, and black, with bright blue turquoise beads for earrings.
