DescriptionThree small, shabby, buildings, including a small church at center, are on fire; the smoke billowing up into large clouds filling the sky. In the foreground, people are being tied up and lead away as prisoners, treated in the same manner as their livestock, pictured in the front right. On the ground, slain peasants lay dead, one wife kneeling before her husband, arms flailing in grief.
