DescriptionThree domestic scenes from an uncut plate. The largest image on the left features a domestic interior of a woman sitting, probably sewing, with her two children. Right of the larger plate are two smaller scenes, both the same dimensions. On the left, a man plays with a doll on string to the amusement of his daughter. On the right, two women pass a serving dish between each other while a small child between them reaches up for their mother. This impression is possibly a maculature--a second printing without re-inking--also known as a "ghost print."
