DescriptionEtching of drawing in reverse by Francesco Salviati after the life-size marble sculpture by Michelangelo in the San Lorenzo in Florence for the tomb of Lorenzo de Medici. The marble sculpture is of a nude woman wearing a veil, representing Dawn, reclining and looking downwards. Her left arm is rasied close to her head grasping part of the veil that covers her hair.
