DescriptionChrist is bound to a pillar facing outward at the center of the image while two men, one with rope, the other with switches, flagellate his body. Christ looks upward and away from them. On the far left, a richly dressed figure, presumedly Pontius Pilate, stands overlooking the punishment. On the far right, and child sits on the ground looking up at one of the servants flogging Christ. This record has been reviewed by University Galleries staff but may be incomplete or contain errors.
