DescriptionLot, at center, turns back to look at his two daughters, each carrying the family's possessions, one in a bundle on top of her head, the other holds a basket overflowing with valuables. Two angels urge them on, one on each side of Lot, pointing outward to the landscape beyond. The face of Lot's wife appears just beside him in profile, next to a large pillar, foreshadowing her fate to come.
