DescriptionThe bearded face of an older man looks upward, his facial features are foreshortened becasue of the lower angle at which he is depicted. His face and beard fill the frame. The design is engraved using tiny dots, similar to the rocker of a mezzotint, creating the effect of a fuzzy texture emulating a charcoal or pencil drawing.
