DescriptionThe Virgin Mary holds the infant Christ, her face in profile to the viewer and her right arm resting against a table's surface in the foreground; her left arm supporting Christ and her left hand holding a pear. The young Christ faces forward, looking up and reaching toward the Virgin Mary's face, his body resting on a tasseled pillow beneath him. Saint Joseph looks left, his arms crossed in front of his body as he leans up against a pedestal; his fingers tapping against the surface.
