DescriptionOne of 24 plates, including a title plate, of grotesque masks. This mask resembles a wrinkled, masculine face, with long leaves sprouting from the skin in place of a beard and mustache. The top is crowned with a carved scalloped shell, and branches grow like horns from the forehead. Twisting vines and acorns sprout from the outermost leaves, framing the mask.
