DescriptionTwo men mounted on horseback ride through the idyllic landscape--their figures can just be seen at the far bottom right corner of the composition. In front of them, a dog leads the way, and they are followed closely by a third figure on foot. Around them, tall leafy trees emerge from rolling grassy hills and bushes. This is a later edition published posthumously in 1788-89 by Basan. An original printing of the plate also exists in the collection: PC2014.14.288.This record has been reviewed by University Galleries staff but may be incomplete or contain errors.
