DescriptionHand coiled and paddled Tizon ware jar; artist started with the bottom of an old pot, and made the new base and then added coils to create the globular body, rounded base and wall, constricting to short neck, slightly flared open mouth, and roughly, horizontally flat rim; restricted vessel; orange-brown ground with gold flecks from micaceous clay; multiple gray, light orange, and black fire clouds.This record has been reviewed by University Galleries staff but may be incomplete or contain errors.
