DescriptionHand coiled and scraped; large circular, flat base, wall rounded to wide open mouth, and beveled rim; restricted vessel; slipped; burnished; tan ground with black, dark orange-red and light orange painted decorations, and tiny gray fire clouds; design consists of orange-red base and 3 cm of lower wall; wide panel of seven rectangular sections of same pattern, each divided diagonally with large, curved tear drop shaped element, framed by narrow stripes, and with thin stripes at lower wall and below rim. Interior design has row of four stylized fish each with different decorative details, and human handprint with spiral on palm on base.This record has been reviewed by University Galleries staff but may be incomplete or contain errors.
