DescriptionHand modeled Tizon ware anvil in shape of upside down mushroom; uneven rounded base and wall, with interior hollow tube at center extending up and rolled rim; unrestricted vessel; red-brown ground with gold flakes in micaceous clay; black fire clouds. Anvil is a tool used with paddle to make pottery vessels, with anvil on interior and paddle on exterior.
