DescriptionHand coiled, possible using paddle and anvil technique, and modeled; rounded base, flared wall to mid-shoulder, constricting to oval opening, no rim; restricted vessel; slipped; red-brown micaceous clay, fire darkened on interior; modeled head at one end of jar, and two short stubby legs at opposite end, with slightly formed arms bent and extending to jar opening; head has two slit eyes, and mouth, and short nose; jar appears as human effigy vessel.
