DescriptionHand coiled ladle, using paddle and anvil technique, and hand modeled; deep oval bowl, with rounded base, flared wall at one end extending as handle, other end of wall is rounded to open bowl; handle has two modeled stylized bear-like figures; restricted vessel; slipped; orange-red ground with dark red painted decorations, and gray fire clouds; design on interior consists of an angular pattern of concentric V's that converge at center of bowl, with ticking on some of the lines.This record has been reviewed by University Galleries staff but may be incomplete or contain errors.
