DescriptionHand coiled, scraped, and modeled, in shape of duck's body; mostly flat base, rounded wall, constricting to short neck, near one end of body, with thin, uneven rim, and narrow strap handle attached to wall near tail and neck; restricted vessel; slipped; gray-white, with black painted decorations, and gray fire clouds; two rounded protuberances at front, to represent folded legs, and narrow fin at rear for tail; short bars on handle; serrated band pendant from rim; circular stripe around each protuberance, painted stylized wings, triangle with parallel stripes on chest, and partial striped element on tail.This record has been reviewed by University Galleries staff but may be incomplete or contain errors.
