DescriptionPublished in "La Caricature", no. 85, 14 June, 1832, plate 171. Caricature of André Dupin (1783-1865), a lawyer and politician, nicknamed "Dup" by his opponents for supposed lack of intelligence. The money bag and wind vane in the escutcheon (designed by Charles Philipon) suggest he could be bribed to change his views.
