DescriptionThe Virgin Mary sits with the infant Christ on her lap outside the doorway of a stable. Joseph stands just behind, his hand on his chest. A Magi kneels at the Virgin's feet, proffering a gift of gold. The two additional Magi stand just behind, waiting to present their gifts. Beyond them, a crowd gathers in the busy square, and the architecture of Bethlehem can be seen just above their heads. In the sky, a central star shines brightly down on the scene. Another print from this same series, "The Annunciation," is also in the collection: PC2013.03.This record has been reviewed by University Galleries staff but may be incomplete or contain errors.
