DescriptionThe face of an indigenous person dominates the center of the imagined currency note, a face similar to the one that appeared on the 1,000 cruzeiro note when it was in circulation. Surrounding the portrait are Gualberto's illustrations of both recognizable objects--a gun, glasses, a watch, fish swimming, flora--along with what appear to be indigenous patterns and designs. This record has been reviewed by University Galleries staff but may be incomplete or contain errors.
