DescriptionHand carved bowl, elongated shape of stylized sea lion, with open mouth and teeth showing, flippers held back against body, and a split tail at the end, and a deep bowl at the center; restricted vessel; painted decorations; design consists of black body, with carved traditional Squamish/Coast Salish design elements, like a whale tale, and a possible bird head with a thick bill, in red, green, and light red-tan color of natural cedar wood, with a wide head and snout, natural wood color teeth and small crescent ears on top of head.
