DescriptionHand woven wool rug, woven on upright loom, probably hand spun, and dyed with natural, and aniline dyed yarns; rectangular plain weave panel, with finished selvages, and braided yarn stitching at each end, and tassel at each corner; designs include a central zigzag vertical band, with stacked serrated diamonds that have an inner twelve-point geometric element, framed by more vertical zigzag lines; black and burgundy arrow stripe along two long sides, very similar to same design on Storm Pattern rugs; colors used are black, cream, burgundy, dark brown, heather gray, dark green, and dark red.This record has been reviewed by University Galleries staff but may be incomplete or contain errors.
