DescriptionHand made cradle board; open twined structure has narrow reeds and thin plant fiber wefts in a twisted weave; thick, smooth, branch of willow, bent and curved at top and bottom; wrapped and woven reed structure attached head cover; cream-white doeskin covers most of the main structure, except for a brown leather square patch at bottom where feet would rest; leather thongs used to hold cover onto wood structure, laced back and forth for strength; 16 nine inch long fringe strands on front with dark blue, red, yellow, and white plastic molded beads, alternate with plain fringe; tiny blue and red glass beads across top of fringe; three sets of two fringe strands with beads on back and wire to hang cradle board; head cover has blue yarn in diamond design across top, and tiny blue, red, and white glass beads atop white strip of doeskin along edge.This record has been reviewed by University Galleries staff but may be incomplete or contain errors.
