DescriptionHand coiled and scraped small blackware bowl; squashed globular shape, flat, circular base, rounded wall, constricting to wide mouth and rolled rim; restricted vessel; slipped; burnished; carved; black ground from oxygen reduced firing; design consists of deeply incised and carved abstract wave-like band with a diamond cut-out, a curvilinear stepped element, a small cut-out circle in the wave band and an abstract animal figure that may resemble a bear.
