DescriptionHand carved, three-dimensional stylized bear with elongated body, notched nominal appendages and ears, incised mouth, punctate eyes; bundle on back of single strand of 12 short cylindrical heishi beads, two cowrie shells, and 1 large olivella shell, tied around mid-section, with four bird feathers inserted, quill end forward, and tiny turquoise chips glued over strand and onto waist area; gray-tan antler with brown striations, tan and brown shells, white and tan heishi beads, brown and dark blue feathers, blue-green turquoise chips, yellow sinew, and black adhesive.This record has been reviewed by University Galleries staff but may be incomplete or contain errors.
