DescriptionHand coiled small basketry bowl, clockwise start, circular base, rounded wall constricting to wide mouth and finished rim, globular shaped body, probably made with yucca and willow; restricted vessel; light tan to light brown ground; 32 white shell beads with some having orange or brown spots sewn to rim, and five strands of white shell beads pendant from rim, each ending with a tear drop iridescent pink and light gray abalone shell bead; entire exterior surface of basket covered with dark brown, red-brown, white, and light tan iridescent pheasant feathers, placed with adhesive in a way to resemble feathers on a bird.This record has been reviewed by University Galleries staff but may be incomplete or contain errors.
