DescriptionHand painted, probably using acrylic paints; rectangular panel, with view of three kachinas, two already out of kiva, and one still climbing ladder out of kiva; full moon in the background, sun just beginning to set; all three are wearing a multi-feather headdress, and two kachinas have two upturned horns connected to their mask, all googly eyes, one with mouth in a grin, other two have a grimace, all three have red tongue hanging out; all three have furry, layered beard, and are wearing an animal pelt around their shoulders; one has a kilt with a snake design, the second figure is wearing a white kilt with red stripes, both wearing brown suede leather boots with fringe; they have turquoise cuffs on upper arms, and necklaces with turquoise and coral jaclas; the first two appear to be carrying a green and white bundle, possibly a plant with long stem and white buds at the top.This record has been reviewed by University Galleries staff but may be incomplete or contain errors.
