DescriptionHand carved; stylized ermine figurine made of fresh walrus tusk and whale baleen; ermine is standing erect with flat tail, front paws held against body, and head erect; highly polished; creamy white with faint tan stripe extending from between ears down back to tail, with end of tail made of black baleen; short oval stripe under chin, down to breast; eyes and nose are black baleen.This record has been reviewed by University Galleries staff but may be incomplete or contain errors.
