DescriptionPreliminary design for a screenprint. Printed on a sheet from the Los Angeles Times newspaper, Sports section, Wed., July 21, 1965. Design consists of a bright orange half circle at bottom, and a black band on top with quote "my relationship to myself is mediated by the presence" from French philosopher Gabriel Marcel. These elements are used in the print "only speak of hope" (1965, Corita Art Center no. 65-09).
