DescriptionHand coiled and scraped; small jar, flat circular base, rounded wall to upper shoulder, constricting slightly to open mouth; slipped; burnished; restricted vessel; red-orange ground with black painted decorations. Design consists of two fields of decoration, (1) a narrow scalloped band on lower wall; and (2) wide band extends from low area up to mouth, design has two opposing wall motifs that have geometric elements as well as curvilinear and stepped elements, which could represent tail feathers, rain, and clouds.
