DescriptionHand coiled pitcher, using paddle and anvil technique; circular, flat base with concave center, wall slightly flared to low shoulder, constricting to tall neck, with rolled rim and split handle; restricted vessel; light gray slip, tan clay, black painted design, black and gray fire clouds; solid triangular band around lower wall, narrow band with cross-hatching extends around wall, dipping slightly on both sides where it meets handle; handle has tick marks, and same type of band extends in zigzag form around rim [possibly a stylized snake?].This record has been reviewed by University Galleries staff but may be incomplete or contain errors.
