DescriptionHand coiled, using paddle and anvil technique; thick walled; rounded base to low corner point, gradually constricting to wide short neck, and flat rim; restricted vessel; slipped; buff ground with red painted decorations, gray fire clouds; design consists of six stylized lizards around neck of jar, framed by stripe at rim, and wavy line below lizards; very wide decorative band around wall, with large inner zigzag bands that have internal diagonal parallel lines, some of these bands overlap others; multiple hook elements scattered as filler.
