DescriptionHand coiled and scraped jar; rounded base and wall to mid-shoulder, sharply constricting to tall neck, wide mouth, and thin rim; restricted vessel; slipped; orange-tan ground with black and dark red painted decorations, and gray fire cloud; design consists of black stripe with four sets of pendant, opposing angular spirals around neck; wide band at shoulder with two alternating patterns in repeated sequence of three: stepped diagonal motif with inner parallel lines, and three stepped angular spirals with barbs, and flanked by stripes.
