DescriptionHand coiled using paddle and anvil technique; globular body, rounded base and wall, constricting to short neck, and wide mouth, with mostly rolled rim; restricted vessel; slipped; buff ground with red pigment made from hematite, for painted decorations; design consists of encircling repeated sequence band of three parallel vertical lines framed by fringed lines at neck, and wide band of diagonal hooked stepped lines with angular scroll elements as fillers on wall.
