DescriptionHand modeled and burnished bird effigy pot; stylized bird, with no appendages and opening in top of head, rounded base, and wall, constricting to neck of bird, with short tail protuberance at rear, and smaller protuberance for beak on front of head, and small opening with rolled rim; restricted vessel; slipped dark gray and black; design consists of many tick marks over all of body to represent feathers, two solid black areas to represent wings, and large oval eyes.
