DescriptionHand woven wool, on upright loom, fibers probably hand spun; large rectangular panel, with tassels at each corner, finished selvages; multicolored yarns used in appropriate colors to the subject matter; pictorial design of reservation scene, include: large mesas, trees, and rock formations in background; a hogan; three men in a wagon; 3 cows, 3 horses, 6 sheep; a young boy riding one of the horses; two woman in front of a loom being used to weave a rug, possibly a Ganado; women and children seated and standing throughout the scene; each corner has a stacked triangle motif; a wide black stripe around edge, with gray stripe next, also enclosing the triangle motives.This record has been reviewed by University Galleries staff but may be incomplete or contain errors.
