DescriptionHand coiled large basket, probably three-rod foundation, from yucca root, willow, and Devil's claw; circular base, clockwise start, flared wall to finished rim; unrestricted vessel; tan and black decoration; design consists of (1) five sets of stacked triangles around base; (2) next, five sets of stylized "8"s, alternating with five crosses; (3) five sets of large black double triangles with tan crosses at center; (4) ten polygons with checkerboard motif alternating with solid double triangles, pendant from rim; (5) 15 different sized quadrupeds scattered across basket surface.This record has been reviewed by University Galleries staff but may be incomplete or contain errors.
