DescriptionHand carved; elongated thick paddle, rounded at handle end, then flattening and widening to terraced notch at far end; underside plain with upper side notched horizontally from handle to end; handle painted white and wrapped with white cotton string, and having small fir twig inserted under string; remainder of rasp painted red with notched areas painted green; possible stylized figure element incised on underside near catalog number, difficult to determine what is represented.
