DescriptionHand carved and painted; circular, mostly flattened gourd, with concave center on each side of smooth round wood handle, wider at bottom, tapered at top, with wood peg inserted through hole at top of handle and hole at bottom to insert cord; white wood, and cord, blue-green ground with black and white painted decorations; design consists of stylized windmill with black vanes with white bar at top and white center, and black stripe around circumference with 2 sets of two cross bars and large "X" separating them.This record has been reviewed by University Galleries staff but may be incomplete or contain errors.
