DescriptionHand coiled and scraped; small circular base, rounded wall to high shoulder, constricting to very short neck and small square opening; restricted vessel; slipped; burnished; light tan ground with darker tan sgraffito decoration through incising or carving; design consists of three tiers of decoration, (1) lowest on wall is continuous band of inverted stepped elements; (2) continuous band of feather elements and (3) uppermost design has alternate double corn plants and double, back to back stepped elements.This record has been reviewed by University Galleries staff but may be incomplete or contain errors.
