DescriptionHand coiled and scraped jar; mostly circular, flat base, rounded wall to high shoulder, constricting gradually to open mouth, with recurved flat rim; thick wide strap handle attached to mid wall and just below rim; restricted vessel; slipped; burnished; orangish-brown clay, dark red ground, with black and white painted decorations; design consists of black stylized scroll band, outlined in white, in repeated sequence, with hatching on interior of scroll.This record has been reviewed by University Galleries staff but may be incomplete or contain errors.
